Richard E. Deichmann, MD, FACP
Richard Deichmann graduated from Tulane School of Medicine and completed his training in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.  He moved back to his hometown after completing his training in 1986 and had practiced at Baptist Hospital until Katrina.  He is past-president of the Greater New Orleans Academy of Internal Medicine and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Tulane.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Certified Physician Investigator.  The research interests in which he has conducted dozens of clinical trials include the areas of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Dr. Deichmann has been tapped by Best Doctors in America and by New Orleans' Top Doctors.  He has also served as the team internist for an National Basketball Association team, the New Orleans Hornets.
He continues his work as a physician, teacher, and clinical researcher at Ochsner Medical Center. He has recently been named as an Associate Medical Director for Adult Primary Care at Ochsner.
Dr. Deichmann, an avid triathlete, lives in the New Orleans area with his wife and three daughters.
